Tell us a little about your care philosophy:

Dr. Hodge grew up in New England before migrating to New Mexico in 1995. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Masters in Education. He received his DC from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. He is, also, a non- denominational minister and motivational speaker and enjoys mentoring younger Docs and students. Dr. Hodge uses a total and specific individual approach with his patients; “toes to the nose”. He uses a variety of techniques including low force as well as high velocity adjusting. His treatment philosophy is simply that one size does not fit all.

Tell us about your specialties:

He incorporates Diversified, Activator, extremities, Thompson Drop, Flexion/distraction, Sot, all while utilizing Kinesiology.

Tell us about your hobbies/family/interests:

While settling into life in New Mexico and launching a 25 year career, he was influenced early on by Drs, Jack Zipper, Herb Beatty (his hero), Kit Taylor, Bill Doggett, J Dunn, and extremity expert Nancy North. He says, “I am proud to be part of this profession. I’ve heard many say that chiropractic adjustments have saved their lives. Providing the adjustments has saved mine”.When not at the clinic, he spends time on the golf course, riding his Ebike, and time with his four grand kids. He takes time every day for giving gratitude for another day in the Land of Enchantment.

Tell us a little about your care philosophy:

Stress, inflammation and compression – the roots of many chronic modern ills and illnesses. We treat these to give patients relief and hope, educate them so they can understand the physics behind illness and healing and can have choices, and support their innate wisdom so they can be their own healers.

Tell us about your specialties:

We are definitely an “off the beaten track” office. We do a lot of low force work and have patients come in looking for this. We also have a broad hands on style combining chiropractic, massage, and modalities such as cranial work and microcurrent, and become known for this. With some of my newer work, I’m increasingly treating inflammatory and stress conditions that haven’t responded to other methods (and learning a lot.)

Tell us about the specific conditions you treat:

Doing cranial work, I’ve always treated a fair number headaches and TMJ issues. With Lumous (see below), it’s been gratifying to treat a variety of the inflammatory and stress conditions plaguing patients, including the now ubiquitous Post-Infection Syndromes (PISS). We can finally take the PISS out of patients in a good way!

Tell us about the procedures you employ:

We run a large-room style chiropractic treatment called the Sunroom, where we use our broad based team approach. We also have private room treatment. Private massage is available. I personally have an eclectic style where I use a wide variety of techniques. Lumous is a treatment modality I’ve developed that blends frequency therapy, brain integration techniques, and nutrition. I often look at bloodwork and genetic pathways with patients. I find that it clears the effects of stress and inflammation quickly, and helps restore the physiology of deep relaxation and body/brain integration essential for healing. It’s like having an energy hand that can reach anywhere in the body.

Tell us about your hobbies/family/interests:

Hobbies/family/interest: My wife Angela and I have been married for 22 years and have always worked together-she’s a massage therapist and we loved each other’s work before we knew we loved each other. We have two sons, Tivon (21) and Galen (18), who are both world travelers and incredibly interesting people at their young ages. I enjoy tai chi (the good vigorous kind) and getting out with the dogs into the hills on a Saturday morning. Along with developing Lumous and finding what it can do, my goal is to get back into a little fun fiction writing.

Tell us a little about your care philosophy:

I look at patient care from the perspective of connecting. To me, a sound philosophy of healing requires a doctorto successfully connect with the patient to provide quality patient care and to obtain expected outcomes

Tell us about your specialties:

The focus of my chiropractic practice has evolved throughout the years to become a generalized chiropractic practice. It seems that, as I’ve gained in experience, and in my education as an Advanced Practice Chiropractor, my patients have learned to trust in my ability to diagnose and manage various conditions from acute soft tissue injuries to chronic disease management, whether filling the role of specialist or primary care physician.

Tell us about the specific conditions you treat:

I have two practices and manage 5 doctors. Within these practices, all of our roles are essentially the same in that we manage various types of cases from acute injury to chronic degenerative diseases and including helping with the long-term effects of debilitating illness. We help so many people with many differing issues that it would be an exhaustive list to provide specific conditions. One thing to mention, as the only Advanced Practice Chiropractor in my clinics, it hasbecome common place for me to treat some of my clinic’s more difficult cases who have not responded as well to conservative case management.

Tell us about the procedures you employ:

I have been a long time Diversified practitioner but have added other techniques that I’ve learned from other doctors who have worked in my clinics. As an Advanced Practice Chiropractor, my treatment “tool bag” has expanded to allow me to employ various injection techniques for acute and chronic pain management as well as helping patients manage “naturally” many disease processes, including certain metabolic and hormone deficiency disorders.

Tell us about your hobbies/family/interests:

I’m an avid outdoorsman, sports shooter, and hunter and profess my Christ-centered faith as the central point from which all of my life’s defining moments and decisions spring. My wife, Laura, and I have three grown children. My son, Stuart, is a chiropractor who practices alongside me and is married to Christine. They reside in Cloudcroft. My oldest daughter, Madeleine, is a speech pathologist, is married to Sean, and they live and work in Albuquerque. My youngest daughter, Rachael, works for me and helps manage both the Las Cruces and Alamogordo offices. I have many interests, but these days, it seems that I don’t get to spend nearly enough time visiting with friends and family, golfing, boating, scuba diving, travelling, skiing, fishing, camping, or motorcycling as I’d like to!
