Tell us a little about your care philosophy:

My background before becoming a doctor of chiropractic was as a massage therapist. This experience has been extremely useful in providing effective treatment for injured patients. My goal is to “work my way out of a job” by treating as little as possible yet as much as necessary to achieve results. This involves treating with effective modalities and teaching patients how to become independent using simple home rehab tools and common sense activities.

Tell us about your specialties:

We specialize in and treat automobile collision and work related injuries such as lifting and fall injuries. These services are paid for through automobile or workers compensation insurance.

Tell us about the specific conditions you treat:

Automobile collision and work-related injuries can cause conditions such as headache, neck and back pain, as well as shoulder, arm and leg pain or reduced ranges of motion, reduced muscle strength, or numbness and tingling.

Tell us about the procedures you employ:

Patients receive treatment that focuses on restoring function which in turn reduces inflammation and pain. Because of my previous experience as a massage therapist more than 30 years ago, I use therapies that are very effective in loosening and relaxing tight muscles and soft tissue. Chiropractic adjustments are delivered by a combination of instruments and manual procedures depending on specific patient needs. Other procedures used include passive care and active physical therapy rehab. Passive care includes modalities such as electrical muscle stimulation and intersegmental traction (also known as the roller table…a crowd favorite). Active care involves specialized stretching and strengthening physical rehab activities utilizing a variety of unique pieces of equipment.

Tell us about your hobbies/family/interests:

My interests revolve around family, church and personal health/exercise activities.

Tell us a little about your care philosophy:

The body has its own incredible design and capacity to thrive. When a desirable environment is created for health and healing; physically, chemically and emotionally/spiritually, the body responds in health. My job as a practitioner is to figure out what the patient needs from me and/or other practitioners to facilitate their healing. My overall focus it to help people function better as a whole.
